Nura Yoga is about building connections through culture & yoga
As First Nations people we understand the importance of caring for each other, mob, community & country. The importance of maintaining social connection lies at the heart of yoga practices too. Which enhance & support a sense of belonging & connection with self, others & the natural world.
Both culture & yoga can be the building of respectful reciprocal relationships. And a path to inner peace, spiritual connection and
well-being.
Our sessions combine First Nations knowledges, wisdoms, cultural and spiritual practices with Yoga philosophy & practices. Nura Yoga encourages self inquiry with breath work, meditation, and movement to help participants connect with their bodies, calm their minds, and cultivate a sense of inner peace.
We welcome you to join our community to discover the transformative realms of both these ancient practice.
Realign your spirit, connect with country, heal.
"Yoga is relationships" TKV Desikachar.

Nura Yoga respectfully brings two ancient practices, customs & ways of life together.
As First Nations people we understand the importance of acknowledging the origins of practices, customs and way of life.
I acknowledge yoga's origins in India & pay my respects to all the yogis who for centuries, practice & taught so that we may practice &/or teach yoga today around the world.

First Nation people of Australia have existed for over 65,000 years. First Nations people still practice their cultural & spiritual ways of life, through unbroken connection, practices, lore, ceremonies, and storytelling that have been passed down from generation to generation.

Quote from Pantanjali YS Yama-niyama-asana-prananayama-pratyahara-dharana-dhyana-samadayah-satay-angani
Observance towards others, towards ourselves, physical movements, breath regulation, withdrawal of the senses & meditation all form aspects of yoga practice.
